Meet Our Board
Trustees at Odils Learning Foundation
At Odils we work as one big family. On this page you can meet our trustees. These are people who make sure Odils is run properly. They are responsible for governing the charity. They direct how Odils is managed.
We have a wonderful Board of Trustees here at Odils. They work closely with us to support our vision of empowering people to achieve their aims. We do this through teaching English and other vocational courses. Our Trustees volunteer a lot of their time to help us develop strategies to continue to grow as a charity. They also help to maximise the resources that we already have.
You can also meet our teachers and administration team who run the charity day to day.

Chris Hayter
Liz Screeton
Liz joined the board of Trustees in 2022. She had been a teacher at ODILS for 15 years, having retired in 2020. Liz brings experience in teaching ESOL, and a long-time knowledge of the organisation. She has many friendships at school and a warm interest in both teachers and learners. She was born in Plymouth and although she has lived in other parts of the UK the city will always be home. She has been a Christian for many years and so Church life has always been important to her. Together with her husband Geoff, has been involved with the welfare of people on the margins of society: troubled by addiction, asylum seekers, refugees… this has led to a very varied life!
On a lighter note, Liz loves nurturing plants, both those in the garden and indoors.
Cătălin Dobrişan
Cătălin , originally from Romania, is a former street child rescued off the streets of Bucharest at the age of 15. His memoirs were published in 2002 in ‘Odyssey of a Romanian Street Child.’ After learning English and graduating High School, at 19 he started working as a manager for a Christian organization whose main goal was the betterment and integration of ethnic Gypsies. In 2007, Cătălin moved to Plymouth; where he still resides and works as a taxi driver. Having , started afresh in a new culture, he sympathises with the asylum seekers and refugees that ODILS serve. He enjoys coastal walks, reading books and romantic movies.
Leann Ndlovu
Leann Kujinga is an accomplished Business Growth Consultant with over a decade of experience helping businesses achieve their goals. She is passionate about supporting business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to reach their full potential.
Having left her home country Zimbabwe at 18 with her family in 2008 for South Africa for economic refuge then to the UK in 2021. She brings a diverse experience into integrating into new communities to start a new life in a new place.
In her spare time, Leann enjoys exploring new culinary experiences, traveling to new places, and meeting new people.
Jon Collins
Primarily working in the field of IT and Computer technology in general for the majority of his working life, Jon has also spent some time in recent years teaching computer game development at a non-profit school in the States. So, when relocating back to the UK and reconnecting with long-time friends in Plymouth, it seemed a natual choice to help with the overall mission of Odils, lending some experience and technical knowledge to the trustees board. Still working in game development remotely, Jon also enjoys most things technology related and is busy making a new home for his family in Plymouth as well as getting to know the area.

Jordan Round
Jordan joined the board of Trustees in 2026. He works in Torbay Adult Social Care as a Contracts Manager, working closely with care providers and settings. This exposure to the vulnerable in our communities, coupled with his Christian convictions, has provided a wonderful opportunity to help the ODILS board achieve its aim of helping asylum seekers and refugees integrate into Plymouth and beyond. Jordan is Husband to Tash and father of two boys, Isaac and Jesse. He enjoys being outside, preferably BBQing or smoking (food!), and making the most of any opportunity for adventure, but can otherwise be found reading and studying in his spare time.
