Fees and Funding Information

Course fees information

You can find information on this page about how much it costs to learn English language at Odils.

Many of our English classes are free to Refugees. You can find out if you qualify for free English language classes. If you do, you can see what documents you need to show us before you start learning.

At Odils, we deliver Functional SkillsESOL qualifications, and a Certificate in Personal Progression. 

Are you a refugee?

If you are a refugee or a husband, wife, civil partner, or child of a refugee, the government will pay 100% of your course if you are doing a Functional Skills qualification.  

Your courses at Odils will be free if A or B applies for an ESOL or Certificate in Personal Progression qualification.

IF A or B DOES NOT apply, the government will pay 50% of your ESOL or Certificate in Personal Progression course and you must pay the other 50%.

You must be earning less than £18,525 annualy, £1,543.75 monthly, or £356.25 weekly (gross).

Are you an EU or EEA Citizen?

If you are an EU/EEA citizen with Settled or Pre-Settled Status AND have been ordinarily resident in the UK/EEA for 3 years, the government will pay 100% of your course if you are doing a Functional Skills qualification.   

Your courses at Odils will be free if A or B applies for an ESOL or Certificate in Personal Progression qualification.

Are you an Asylum Seeker?

If you have been an asylum seeker for more than 6 months, the government will pay 50% of your course, and as a charity, Odils will pay the other 50%.

These costs will change if your residence status changes. 

Are you a Non-Fundable Learner?

If you are NOT a UK, EU, or EEA citizen who has resided in the UK, EU, or EEA for the 3 years prior to the first day of learning or NOT a refugee, husband, wife, civil partner or child of a refugee, you are NOT eligible for government funding and you will have to pay for your lessons at Odils.

How much are Odils student fees?

Fees for Refugee, EU, or EEA Citizens  

Odils Learning Foundation is a charity and tries to make sure course costs are kept as low as possible. 

At ODILS, we deliver Functional Skills, ESOL qualifications and a Certificate in Personal Progression. Your teacher will decide what qualification you will take.  

Fees may be invoiced at the time of enrolment, at any point in the academic year. 

 

As we are a Teacher Training school, if one of your classes is being taught by a trainee you will receive a refund of £4.50 per lesson, providing you attended the class. 

Your invoice can be paid in instalments at the agreement of the MIS and Exams Manager or within 1 month of the invoice date. We accept cash, cheques, credit card, and online payments.

There is no refund once you have started the course or if you miss any sessions.

A maximum fee of £320 will apply for the school year.

Fees for Non-Fundable Learners   

The fees are £12.00 per hour. However, if your class is taught by a Trainee Teacher, the fee will be reduced to £10.00 per hour.

Fees are invoiced per half term, from your start date, to be paid within 1 month of the invoice.

We accept cash, cheques, credit cards, and online payments.

There will be no refund once you have started the course or if you miss any sessions.
